Recently, I added a new technique to enhance my beadweaving. The technique is "viking knit" which is the precursor to knitting as we know it today. I use sterling silver wire to create bracelets and necklaces, and this month, I am a featured artist at Artists' Undertaking Gallery . I am sharing that honor with colleague, Barbara Henris who works in oils and acrylics. Our new exhibit is entitled "New Directions."]]>

Another new herringbone bracelet using Delica beads. Art deco skyscrapers come to mind with this pattern which I had fun designing. I use four beads each time which gives a slightly different look to the herringbone stitch, but I'm enjoying it because it works up much more quickly. ]]>
Time to introduce the newest bracelet in my beadweaving collection, entitled "Riverbed." I used herringbone stitch with tiny copper charlottes and fringe beads in between the stitches. ]]>

I've just finished listing four cards representing some images of my beadwork. Last year, I collaborated on an exhibit of travel-related images with a fellow artist at Artists' Undertaking Gallery The result was four jewelry pieces created with a variety of beadweaving stitches including peyote, herringbone and chevron chain.
