The technique is "viking knit" which is the precursor to knitting as we know it today. I use sterling silver wire to create bracelets and necklaces, and this month, I am a featured artist at Artists' Undertaking Gallery . Art deco skyscrapers come to mind with this pattern which I had fun designing. It's voting time for the Etsy Beadweavers latest challenge. This month we are "seeing red" and as you can see, everyone has used red as a primary design element. Go to the Etsy Beadweavers blog and cast your vote for your favorite. Besides jewelry, you will also find sculptural pieces and accessories. The decision is definitely a challenge this month. Have fun !
</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.ambrosianbeads.com/journal/2008/1/2/new-bracelet-triangle-twister.html"><rss:title>New Bracelet-"Triangle Twister"</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.ambrosianbeads.com/journal/2008/1/2/new-bracelet-triangle-twister.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>New items</dc:subject>
I just learned how to make these triangles earlier in December and I have become obsessed with them. I've just finished listing four cards representing some images of my beadwork. Last year, I collaborated on an exhibit of travel-related images with a fellow artist at Artists' Undertaking Gallery The result was four jewelry pieces created with a variety of beadweaving stitches including peyote, herringbone and chevron chain. Since they were flat and most of my jewelry is somewhat three-dimensional, I decided to scan these and create a set of cards. If you are looking for something different as a gift for a bead-loving friend, or even yourself, take a look at my beadwork cards . I also have a set for sale here .
</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
